A Celebration to Remember: 80 Years of MacMasters Beach SLSC
Over the June long weekend we marked a major milestone – 80 years of service, surf and community spirit at MacMasters Beach SLSC.
We kicked off the celebration with a heartfelt luncheon, where our Life Members, their families and those connected to members we’ve sadly lost over the years gathered to reminisce and reconnect. The room was filled with stories stretching back to the earliest days of the club – memories rich with surf rescues, beach camaraderie and the unwavering volunteer spirit that defines MacMasters.
It was a privilege to share the occasion with our broader community and supporters. We warmly thank SLSNSW President Peter Agnew, SLSCC CEO Michael Hyslop, MP Gordon Reid and MP Adam Crouch for joining us in commemorating the legacy of the Club.
Special thanks go to Caitlin and Lana for their beautiful grazing table and cupcakes, and to Empire’s D’Lite for a delicious spread of wraps and sandwiches that added to the warmth of the day. A huge thank you to LooLoo for running the bar and keeping everyone hydrated. None of this would’ve been possible without the tireless work of our 80th Anniversary committee, who planned, hosted and brought this milestone event to life.
